I like Notability, but GoodNotes for me fits what I need. There is also Notability, which my wife used for college that many people love. I have talked about GoodNotes before, but it remains my favorite notebook app for writing with the Apple Pencil. To do this, though, I needed a good writing app. IPad Mini running GoodNotes with Apple Pencil 2. Both are fine, but it is different you can argue the iPhone is more similar to how I use Things on the iPad mini, but when I am using the Apple Pencil, I feel like I am touching and manipulating each task. I am mostly managing the to-dos on my iPhone, but I will add tasks on the go if I need to, and on my MacBook Air, I am working on Things from a keyboard. I feel like I am physically working on my to-do list when using Things on my iPad mini, which is an exciting difference from on my iPhone or MacBook Air. Writing in my tasks in Things is a joy with the Apple Pencil it is a great experience I hadn’t tried until I had the iPad mini. I will then write in anything that I need to add. I will clear any tasks I forgot to complete the day before or things I no longer need to do. After I journal, I will go through my Today folder in Things. Usually, in the morning, I try and get up and journal in Goodnotes which is another favorite iPad app that I will go over later. Writing a task into Things with Apple Pencil. So without further ado, let’s go over my favorite apps on the iPad: Cross-Compatible Apps Things ($13.99) I am not writing on the iPad mini, that would be on the MacBook Air, but everything else I need to do the iPad mini delivers outstandingly. Sometimes I don’t bring my MacBook Air, but instead, I will bring the iPad mini and iPhone Mini only. I prefer my iPad Mini when I am at home and take it everywhere when I leave the house. The size, weight, design, display, and Apple Pencil 2 support make the iPad mini an outstanding product overall. The iPad mini 6 has become my favorite iPad of all time. Some of them are for productivity, but the others are either for consumption or personal needs - not professional. Instead, my list consists of apps that I use on my iPad mini almost every day. If I were still using the iPad 8th Generation or iPad Pro, this list would be far different. MacOS will always work with a mouse and keyboard, so Mac Mini and Mac Pro will still work that way, but if you buy yourself a touch display, you can bet it will work with macOS very nicely as well. After writing about my favorite apps for Mac and iPhone (and utilities for Mac), it only made sense for me to do one for my iPad too. Look out for data miners to find references to some sort of digital keeyboard if this one is going to come to pass. The screen will be detatchable, offering a 100% touch-based input mode for the first time on a Mac.The product name will not be "MacBook Air/Pro" It will either be "Mac", "MacBook X", or something totally different.I have 3 predictions, ranked from most likely to least likely: We're all expecting the first consumer Macs using Apple Silicon will be MacBooks. The UI changes in this fall's macOS release indicate this, the "larger" option for all UI elements implies UI will be boosted a bit more when a touch screen is active, and Apple very cleary talked about new form factors they would be able to make with control over the processing power in their upcoming Macs. I should have shared this thought earlier, but from the moment this year's WWDC keynote ended, I was convinced every Mac made with Apple Silicon is going to have a touch screen. Quinn Nelson put out a video yesterday about "Big Sur's Big Secret" Japple mac Apple Silicon Mac Will Have Touch Screens
